Registration Deadline- April 29, 2020!

Join us for a great day of sporting clays and camaraderie at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays, a year round sporting club with one of the most unique course layouts. Much of the course is built around a limestone quarry which includes shooting targets coming towards you from remnants of concrete buildings, shooting over the quarry pond, and hitting targets between two tall chimneys! Lehigh Valley is a challenging course, a great venue to hold tournaments & fundraisers, and is only 40 minutes east of Cabela’s in Hamburg, Pa.

THE EVENT

• The Montgomery PBA Clay Day shoot is a benefit sporting clays competition for four-person teams that will raise funds for the Montgomery PBA Charitable Fund.

• Registration for the 17 station shoot begins promptly at 8 AM on Monday, April 15th, and the shoot begins at 9:15 AM.

• Each participant will receive a continental breakfast, goodie bag, and a seat at the pig roast luncheon following the competition.

• In addition to the shooting competition and meals, the after shoot festivities will include beverages, trophy presentations, silent auctions, cigars and more!

• No Shooting Experience? This is a great opportunity to learn how to safely operate and shoot a shotgun and experience the fun of sporting clays. Contact Dewitt Giles for more information.

What is Sporting Clays?

Sporting Clays is the fastest growing shooting sport in the nation. Often described as “golf with a shotgun,” each participant goes to a station where two clay targets are thrown into the air. The participant loads two shells into a shotgun and tries to break each target before it lands. At most stations, the pair of targets is repeated three or four times. Usually there are at least 10 different stations, each with a different pair of targets: going away, overhead, crossing, falling, etc. This provides great variety and challenges each shooter’s skills in different ways. One learns to laugh at one’s self when shooting sporting clays.
